L’appuntamento (The appointment)

The performance is inspired by methods used to communicate in Argentine prisons. The performers, clambering onto an improvised structure that serves as a pedestal, "recite" through mute prisoner language, a fragment of poetry written by a political prisoner, in an attempt to create a kind of living memorial.

The poem reads: 

I have an appointment, 

dangerous?

Yes, that they don't come to know, 

it is with life!

The work was also presented as a two-channel video installation, showing on one side the artist performing, and on the other her father’s hand, a former political prisoner who taught her that language. Both “recite” the poem in a dialogue between hands
